Lowery, Lewis, Corbin, Feight, and Iser pick up wins at The Greater Cumberland Raceway

Press Release: April 29th 2017

After morning thunder storms and overcast skies most of the day the track crew at The Greater Cumberland Raceway did a tremendous job getting the surface ready for racing competition on Saturday night.

Hyndman Pennsylvania’s Brian Lowery took the win in the Limited Late Models driving the BSL Racewrap Dodge Challenger Rocket powered by Curry Dynamics dropped to second at the start but powered by Devin Weyandt midway through the race and never looked back. Kayden Smith also got by Weyandt and finished second with Weyandt coming home third and Herb Hilliard fourth.

In the Crate Late Model class it was Dylan Lewis taking home the win in an exciting last lap pass of Nick Tressler. Tressler would end up second followed by Ace Howdershelt, Zach Price, and Tony White rounded out the top five.

Mike Corbin made the trip from Winchester Virginia and it paid off with the win in the E-Mod feature event. Corbin driving the Ernie’s Salvage Yard/Roy Anderson #25 jumped to the early lead and survived some late cautions to pick up the win. Young Drake Troutman kept pace with Corbin but couldn’t close the gap at the end and would end up second. DacRon Powell was third followed by Beau Aikey and Ryan Peer.

Bradley Feight just took his time and waited for the high line to come in and roared past his competition to take home the win in the Pure Stock division. Brandon Inglish was second followed by Marcius Vanmeter, Jimmy Moreland, and Travis Group.

Derek Iser took home the win in the always exciting 4 cylinder division in the Iser Towing 23b. Jimmy Iser was second followed by Corey McKenzie, Logan Kennel, and Josh Ringer rounding out the top five.

The Greater Cumberland Raceway gets right back in action this Saturday night with a full racing program of Super Late Models, Limited Late Models, E-mods, and 4-cylinders. Warm ups are at 6:30 and racing begins at 7:00. Grandstand admission is $10 kids under 12 free and Pit admission is $25 with kids up to 12 years old just $10.
